If a living body is cut into pieces (such as a rock), does the soul cover the space of both?

According to Jain teachings, the soul (jiva) is distinct from the physical body but pervades it completely. The soul's presence is not confined to a specific part but extends throughout the entire body, regardless of its size or shape. This means that even if a living body is divided into pieces, each part is still pervaded by the soul's units (pradeśas). The soul is considered an eternal, immaterial substance that inhabits the living body as a whole.
