Tatvar Sutra

The Tatvartha Sutra, also known as the Tattvartha Sutra, is a seminal Jain scripture composed by Acharya Umaswati (Umasvami). It is considered the first comprehensive and systematic exposition of Jain philosophy, covering metaphysics, cosmology, ethics, and spiritual practice. The text is divided into ten chapters (adhyāyas), each dealing with different aspects such as the nature of reality (tattva), the soul (jīva), karma, the path to liberation, and the classification of living beings. The Tatvartha Sutra is unique in its clarity and conciseness, making it accessible to both scholars and practitioners.
